July 14, Suzdal. 1st Summer School of the ReSET Seminar Project "Spatial Economics: How Geography Matters For Economics" will start at Suzdal. Among the invited faculty are Professor Jacques-François Thisse (CORE, Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium), Dr. Sergey Afontsev (IMEMO of RAS), Professors Tatiana Mikhailova and Alexey Savvateev (NES, Moscow). Two distinguished Russian researchers – Professor Natalia Zubarevich of Moscow State University and Professor Evgenia Kolomak of Novosibirsk State University are invited as the Guest Speakers.

July 7 / Marriott Grand Hotel 
The Annual Commencement Ceremony for the Graduating Class of 2010 took place on July 7, 2010 at the Marriott Grand Hotel. Anatoly Chubais (Chief Executive Officer, RUSNANO) delivered the Commencement address and the first Gaidar Memorial Lecture in Economic Policy : "Innovation Economy in Russia: A To Do List". The Lectures are supported by the Human Capital Foundation.

July 5 The eight issue of the online econometrics journal "Quantile" has been released. The authors of this issue are Eduardo Rossi, Alexander Tsyplakov, Pavel Yaskov.

June 19 NES Football Challenge 2010 was held on Saturday. 7 teams of students of both NES programs MAE and MiF, alumni and professors participated in the day-long tournament. Class 2009 (MAE) won the tournament, receiving first place medals. Yuriy Krasnikov (MAE’09) was nominated best player and best forward player, making ten goals throughout the game.  Vorobiev Ilya (MAE’05) was nominated best goalie. Both Yuriy and Ilya received NES Football Challenge prizes. Thank you to all who came out to play and watch the NES Football Challenge this weekend!
June 19 The New Economic School (NES) and Citi announced the release of the training manual for high school students. The book will be distributed in the schools of Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, and Samara at the beginning of the new academic year. More than 5 000 university students and 3 000 school children across five large Russian cities will begin to learn financial literacy from these new books. The new book "Financial Literacy for High School Students" in a popular and interesting form teaches how to make money, how to spend the money wisely, and how financial instruments (cards, certificates of deposit, and loans) may help. The book targets students of the 9th-11th grades. Press release
